If you have a subscription, want to take out a subscription, visit our website out of interest, use the GYM VAN TOEN® app or respond to our social media expressions, we need certain personal data from you. We want to be transparent about the processing of your personal data by Van Dulken, hence this privacy statement. Of course, Van Dulken handles your personal data with the utmost care and complies with laws and regulations in the field of personal data protection, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Below we have listed for you which data we process from you, why we do this and how we handle your personal data. It also explains how you can influence the processing of your personal data by Van Dulken.

Because Van Dulken is a dynamic company in a rapidly developing environment, it is important that we update our privacy statement from time to time. We therefore reserve the right to change this privacy statement at any time. You can always find the most current state of affairs on our website. Van Dulken processes personal data. According to the GDPR, personal data is “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person”. This is therefore all data that can be traced directly or indirectly to your person. When entering into a subscription, we will in any case process your name, address, place of residence, telephone number and your e-mail address, bank account number, gender and date of birth.
Even if you already have a subscription, we will continue to process this type of personal data about you. When using the services of Van Dulken, depending on which services are purchased, the following personal data are also processed:

choice of language, which training you have designated, visit registration, last visit, type of subscription, extras purchased, sports profile if a survey has been completed, information that you may have provided to us, your financial status at Van Dulken (services and products purchased and whether these have been paid for) ), any data that you have had measured during a test/measurement moment such as: height, (varying) data about weight, data about registered workouts and data about chosen nutrition and training schedules.


Personal data of visitors to our website is also processed. This concerns personal data that you enter on, among other things, the contact page or the webshop itself, such as your e-mail address, name, address, place of residence, current location or a telephone number.


The data that you enter yourself on social media or that we collect as a result of your reactions to social media expressions are processed by Van Dulken. Van Dulken processes your data in order to provide services to you. For creating an access key that gives you access to the training room, handling and answering questions and complaints, preparing, sending and collecting invoices and communicating in the correct language. In addition, we process the data entered by you for specific services for the purpose of that specific service. Think, for example, of the data you enter in the GYM VAN TOEN® app, so that we can help you achieve your goals.


Van Dulken processes your data in order to be able to inform you mainly by e-mail (or in some cases by letter or telephone). You will receive information about your subscription from which you cannot unsubscribe. You will also receive information about similar products and services from Van Dulken, such as confirmation of training schedules and new lessons/training. You can unsubscribe from these messages at any time.


We may use your personal data for research and analysis, with the aim of improving Van Dulken's services. We may also ask you if you would like to participate in a non-binding customer or market survey in order to improve our services. You decide whether you want to participate in this by giving permission or not.


Van Dulken processes member data for statistical analyzes and management reports. Based on those analyzes and reports, decisions are made, products and services are evaluated and campaigns are checked to see if they are effective. Member data is used for this on an aggregated level. Aggregated means that the data does not contain information about individual members, but only information about certain groups based on usage, age or new members.


If you contact us or we contact you by telephone, e-mail, via social media, What's app chat or in another way, your data will be registered. This way Van Dulken employees can see later that you have been in contact with you before and about what. This way we can help you faster and better. Van Dulken provides appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the personal data against, among other things, loss, destruction or damage, unauthorized access or any other form of unlawful processing of your personal data. We do this, among other things, by taking physical and organizational measures for access security, shielding every desktop with username and password and authorization management so that your data cannot be viewed by all Van Dulken employees. The final retention period differs per type of personal data. If you have a membership of Van Dulken, we will in any case store your data for the duration of your membership. After the retention period, your personal data will be anonymized or deleted.


Van Dulken uses the services of other parties. Activities involving third parties: offering introductory lessons, (online) marketing, market research, debt collection, advertising and analyzing the effectiveness of advertisements, web analysis and applications/services used in the context of recruitment and selection, membership administration, customer service and marketing, mobile app, telephone contacts and banking.


Van Dulken is affiliated with the Judobond Nederland and provides a membership to the Judobond Nederland in the subscription for the judo lessons. This means that we also keep a national registration of members in the Sportlink program. The data that we include in Sportlink is name, address, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number and kyu degrees in order to meet the standards for the Judobond Nederland.


In principle, Van Dulken does not provide or sell data to third parties. However, Van Dulken may be required by law or regulation to process your personal data and/or provide it to third parties. You have the right to request and obtain the limitation of a processing in a number of specific cases: during the period of contesting the accuracy of personal data and the verification thereof, if the processing has turned out to be unlawful but you do not want the data to be will be deleted if Van Dulken no longer needs the data but you still need the data for a legal claim and if you have objected to the processing and are still waiting for a response to the objection.
